The Technical Compliance Software Engineer role at Reddit involves working on the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to ensure effective risk management and security controls.
The role is 100% remote and open only to candidates currently located and authorized to work in the United States.
Responsibilities include supporting security compliance initiatives, monitoring and maturing Reddit's tech control framework, designing continuous control monitoring tools, and collaborating with various teams to identify security and privacy risk mitigation needs.
The position offers ample opportunities to contribute to Reddit's technical control framework and partner with different teams to champion Reddit’s Security, Privacy, and Compliance Engineering (SPACE) mission.

Expertise in compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX ITGC Controls, and NIST.
Proficiency in designing and implementing continuous control monitoring activities using GRC solutions and practical scripting languages like Go, Python, NodeJS, and Unix shell.
Knowledge of API and data querying, with at least 3 years of experience in GRC tooling configuration and Security governance, risk, and compliance roles.
Ability to communicate effectively with business representatives on GRC topics and execute compliance initiatives for cloud platforms.
Experience working with engineering teams to implement controls and maintaining positive working relationships across the enterprise.
