Description:
This is a remote and full-time (CLT) position for those based in Brazil.
The role is for an experienced technical team leader who enjoys using and creating open-source software.
The candidate will work on a variety of interesting projects with a team of experts at Nearform.
Responsibilities include translating client project requirements into deliverables and leading the team to ensure high-quality output within specific timeframes.
The role involves all aspects of Delivery, Support, and Deployment, working directly with clients on various projects.
The candidate will help clients translate their business and technical requirements into software applications.
The position requires working in high-performing software teams that are distributed across different locations.
The candidate will provide technical and line-management leadership to the development team.
Responsibilities include taking responsibility for successful project delivery, identifying and resolving blockers, and shaping architectural decisions.
The role is hands-on and requires a background in JavaScript (Node.js) and Python development, along with experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, and data pipeline creation.
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and advanced English proficiency for oral and written communication are required.
The candidate must have experience working directly with customers and users.
Experience managing software engineering teams is essential.
The candidate should have experience developing high-quality software.
A deep understanding of agile methodologies is required.
The candidate must have a deep understanding of test-driven development and testing best practices.
A deep understanding of best practices and design patterns is necessary.
The candidate should have a deep understanding of open-source technologies and tools.
A deep understanding of version control tools, particularly GIT, is required.
Understanding of graph databases, including Neo4j, is necessary.
The candidate should understand operational concerns such as monitoring, performance testing, security considerations, accessibility, and GDPR.
Understanding of DevOps practices is essential.
The candidate must have a drive to deliver outcomes for customers and possess empathy and people skills.
