Remote Technical Lead, Automation Engineer

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance is necessary, showcasing a successful track record in test strategy, planning, execution, and maintenance, including comprehensive test documentation.
• At least 4 years of experience with automated testing tools, specifically Selenium, is required, including advanced scripting for automation and the development of custom testing frameworks.
• Experience with the Playwright Framework using JavaScript is essential.
• Proven leadership in Agile and Scrum methodologies is required, with the ability to drive QA strategies within rapid development cycles and iterative testing environments.
• Expertise in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines is necessary, with a strong understanding of optimizing automated tests for efficiency and speed within CI/CD processes.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation, particularly Java, is required.
• Deep knowledge of databases and SQL is necessary, with experience in executing complex data validation and backend testing.
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla is required, with a strong track record in bug reporting, tracking, and resolution processes.
• Exceptional collaborative skills are necessary, with proven experience in leading quality assurance efforts and fostering teamwork.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required, with the ability to convey complex technical issues clearly.
• Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals are preferred, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
