  • As a Technical Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will be a key member of a dynamic and collaborative team, contributing across various aspects of the development process.
  • You will utilize your extensive programming experience, with a minimum of eight years in a professional setting, preferably within a small team.
  • The role requires flexibility in programming languages and a holistic approach to software development, transitioning between frontend, backend, and infrastructure tasks.
  • You will lead the team in technical guidance and architectural decisions, providing mentorship and direction to other engineers.
  • You will assume a leadership role during system challenges and contribute to effective problem resolution.
  • The position involves identifying and addressing premature over-engineering and ensuring efficient project progress.
  • You will drive the development of best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles within the team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of eight years of professional programming experience is required, preferably within a small team environment.
  • You must have a proven ability to work across boundaries, including frontend, backend, or infrastructure, embracing a holistic approach to software engineering.
  • Recognition by peers for technical expertise and leadership in making architectural decisions is essential, as well as being the go-to person in challenging situations within your current team.
  • You should be able to identify premature over-engineering and foresee the long-term consequences of programming choices, making informed decisions to optimize project timelines and outcomes.
  • Understanding that code serves to solve business/customer problems is crucial, along with a willingness to make trade-offs that efficiently address these issues.
  • Familiarity with the tech stack (Node.js, Next.js, React, Relay, Apollo-GraphQL, Postgres, Heroku) is a bonus, and you should share insights on the pros and cons of the tech stack in your application.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring other engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment, is required.
