Description:
The Technical Lead II - FE Migrations Team at HubSpot will be responsible for designing and solving problems in large, distributed systems, with a focus on frontend software development.
The role involves managing thousands of instances and services in the cloud, as well as hundreds of micro frontends, to scale the platform.
The Migrations team creates tools and processes to maintain a platform consisting of thousands of microservices and hundreds of micro frontends.
Responsibilities include improving Mainsail and expanding the capabilities of Mothership, the AST based refactoring platform.
The Technical Lead will work on upgrading and changing the platform to enhance developer productivity, reliability, and security.
The role requires strong frontend development experience with technologies like Typescript, JavaScript, and React.
Experience with codemods, static analysis, or large-scale infrastructure migrations is a plus.
Previous team, technical, or pod lead experience is preferred, along with a passion for contributing to the code base and performing code reviews.
The Technical Lead will lead a small team of engineers, set the direction for Frontend development, and collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
Strong frontend development experience with Typescript, JavaScript, and React.
Experience with codemods, static analysis, or large-scale infrastructure migrations is a plus.
Previous team, technical, or pod lead experience preferred.
Passion for contributing to the code base and performing code reviews.
Coaching and mentorship experience.
Ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze trade-offs with empathy for developers.
Strong ownership of projects end to end and successful collaboration with multiple Engineering teams.
Desire to stay hands-on in all technical aspects while leading a team of engineers.
