Remote Technical Lead (Remote, India)

Description:

• This is a remote permanent position for those based in India, who can join within 30 days.
• The role is for an experienced technical team leader who enjoys using and creating open-source software.
• The candidate will work on a variety of interesting projects with a team of experts at NearForm.
• The position involves leading technology teams (Software Dev, DevOps/Cloud) and translating client project requirements into deliverables.
• The candidate will collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality output for clients within specific timeframes.
• Responsibilities include providing technical and line-management leadership, ensuring successful project delivery, identifying and resolving blockers, and working directly with clients.
• The role requires shaping architectural decisions and providing project status reports to clients and NearForm leadership.
• A hands-on background in Full-stack JavaScript (Node.js and React) is necessary, along with experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, and possibly Python.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have experience working directly with customers and users.
• Experience managing software engineering teams is required.
• A proven track record in developing high-quality software is essential.
• The candidate should have a deep understanding of agile methodologies and test-driven development.
• Knowledge of best practices, design patterns, and open-source technologies is necessary.
• Proficiency in version control tools, particularly GIT, is required.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and operational concerns such as monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR is important.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices is expected.
• The candidate should possess a strong drive to deliver outcomes for customers and have empathy and people skills.
