Remote Technical Operations Engineer III - Devops Engineer

Description:

• The Operations Engineer will establish, ensure, and maintain the ongoing operational excellence of our data center or cloud platform centered on security and overall cloud best practices.
• This role may also involve managing operations of local analytics servers.
• Responsibilities include provisioning and delivering multi-regional solutions for CST’s, user and group management in cloud and other third-party solutions.
• The Operations Engineer will maintain gold virtual machine images to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Implementing and managing alerting and monitoring services on server instances is a key responsibility.
• The role includes managing volume snapshots and retention policies for server backups.
• The Operations Engineer will support various third-party solutions implemented across our platform to enhance security and meet the Firm’s rigid security standards.
• The position requires the ability to clearly communicate and work closely with firm members.
• Experience in large multi-geographical real-time systems is essential.
• The candidate must be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities and tasks.
• The role requires the capacity to innovate, anticipate trends, and challenge established practices.
• Distinctive communication skills are necessary to convey technical content in an easy-to-understand way.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience in an enterprise IT operational or engineering role.
• Experience implementing, supporting, and documenting multi-tier enterprise solutions is required.
• The candidate should have experience in real-time scalability and highly available solutions.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware and XenServer is necessary.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, PowerShell, or Python is required.
• Candidates must have experience conducting disaster recovery tests.
• Proficiency in Linux (CentOS & Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems is essential.
• Experience with security engineering, system and network security, authentication, security protocols, and application security is required.
• Familiarity with Agile operations and DevOps methodologies is necessary.
• For some roles, familiarity with Amazon EC2, Cloud HSM, KMS, Route 53, SES, Inspector, SNS, S3, Elastic Load Balancing, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Trusted Advisor, and Security Group management is preferred.
