Description:

  • Nextdata is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer to join their team and help enterprises revolutionize their data infrastructure.
  • The role involves creating data products on Nextdata OS by translating customer business needs into Proof of Concept (PoC) data products.
  • The Solutions Engineer will collaborate with initial customers to understand their business requirements and develop data products that address those needs.
  • The position requires deeply embedding with customers to support their successful adoption of data mesh, guiding them from data integration to infrastructure optimization.
  • The engineer will leverage their experience in the full analytics lifecycle, translating business requirements into data models, data pipelines, analytics dashboards, and machine learning pipelines.
  • Providing feedback to enhance Nextdata OS and tooling based on hands-on experience is also a key responsibility.
  • The role includes managing the full lifecycle of PoC data products, from ideation to successful deployment, including synthesizing realistic data for testing.
  • The Solutions Engineer will contribute to the growth of the Solutions Engineering team, shaping its direction and success.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Architect with a strong background in customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in data modeling and dashboard development using tools like Looker and Power BI is required for demonstration purposes.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) to optimize build and release processes is essential.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python and/or other languages, with comfort in quick prototyping, are necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience in developing data processing pipelines and proficiency in tools like Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, dbt, and ML environments such as PySpark and Pandas.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes (K8s), Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure, is required.
  • Experience working on complex data pipelines in large data organizations is essential.
  • A curiosity and passion for applying data in machine learning and analytics applications is expected.
