Description:
ThinkLabs AI is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to support the Grid Copilot initiative aimed at transforming the energy grid.
The role involves designing and delivering machine learning and generative AI models, technology, and cloud engineering.
Responsibilities include leading the implementation of scalable data science and machine learning architecture integrated into the product platform.
The engineer will work with the R&D and Data Science teams to deploy prototype models to production and re-train and re-deploy models based on quality parameters.
The position requires defining and monitoring quality parameters for ML models in production and optimizing the performance, scalability, and reliability of ML models and generative AI systems.
The engineer will design and implement ML toolchains and data platforms to scale ML solutions in production.
Collaboration with other machine learning engineers, data scientists, and domain experts is essential to understand the requirements and challenges of natural language processing and generation tasks.
Best practices for data engineering, feature engineering, and model deployment will need to be defined.
Requirements:
A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Power Systems, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a related field is required.
Strong knowledge in mathematical modeling, RNNs, CNNs, Transformers, LSTMs, transfer learning, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, GANs, and time-series analysis is essential.
Prior experience in operationalizing machine learning workflows is necessary.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies such as SageMaker, Apache Airflow, Kubeflow, and ECS/EKS is required.
Experience in the electricity and energy domain is preferred.
Strong experience in developing and deploying large-scale ML models and generative AI systems using frameworks like numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or OpenAI is needed.
Proficiency in Python and other programming languages for data analysis and machine learning is mandatory.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
A passion for natural language processing, generative AI, and creating impactful solutions is required.
