Description:

  • Wander is revolutionizing the short-term rental industry, focusing on enhancing the guest experience through smart homes and an intuitive booking platform.
  • As a TypeScript Infrastructure Engineer, you will develop and maintain the infrastructure that powers Wander's travel platform.
  • You will work on projects that ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of systems, impacting user experiences and company growth.
  • Key responsibilities include developing infrastructure-as-code using Pulumi with TypeScript, designing cloud architecture on AWS, optimizing Kubernetes clusters, and creating CI/CD pipelines.
  • You will implement monitoring systems, manage LLM API usage, contribute to monorepo structure, and automate operational tasks.
  • Collaboration with other engineers to improve system observability and performance is essential, along with writing clean and well-tested infrastructure code.
  • Staying updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices is also a key part of the role.

Requirements:

  • You must have 3+ years of professional development experience with TypeScript.
  • A strong understanding of cloud architecture, preferably with AWS, is required.
  • Experience using Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration is expected.
  • Proficiency in working with databases, particularly PostgreSQL and Redis, is essential.
  • Experience with deploying and scaling LLM-based services is required.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure considerations for high-volume LLM API usage is important.
  • You should have experience with monorepo structures and build systems, specifically Yarn, Nx, and Turbo.
  • A solid understanding of CI/CD principles and implementation is necessary.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in an async environment are essential.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is required.
