Remote UI Engineer (Contract)

Description:

• The UI Engineer will work on a short-term contract with a new client for approximately 6 months.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with visual designers, project managers, and developers to implement interactive experiences for agency work.
• The role involves providing recommendations and out-of-the-box solutions for project challenges.
• The UI Engineer will represent the UI function in sprint ceremonies and support the refinement of tasks.
• They will take a full tech approach for non-routine work like migration plans and third-party integrations, ensuring future stability and extensibility.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Frontend/UI Developer or Engineer.
• Proficient in web markup languages such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Shopify development and CSS3 styles, including SASS.
• Familiarity with client-side scripting, JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, VueJs, and ReactJS.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with the DOM.
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and GIT version control.
• Understanding of SEO principles, image authoring tools, and tools like Sketch or Photoshop.
