Remote UI Programmer - Freelance

Description:

• The UI Programmer will join the Lakshya Digital team to design and implement new menus and HUDs.
• They will build a solid and performant UI toolkit for the UI/UX artists.
• The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to enable the highest quality UI/UX experience for players.
• The UI Programmer will report to the Technical Program Manager.
• Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and maintaining a UI toolkit used by UI/UX artists.
• They will also develop, implement, and maintain various menus and HUDs in both 2D and 3D.
• The role requires developing optimized UI software solutions tailored to the UI engine.
• Documenting UI systems and defining UI standard methodologies is also part of the job.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience is required.
• Candidates must have at least 3+ years of experience as a UI programmer.
• Excellent C++ coding and debugging skills with experience in code optimization are necessary.
• Familiarity with UI/UX concepts is required.
• An interest in working on various UI-related tasks, including UI engine tasks, is essential.
• The ability to function effectively in a team environment while prioritizing one's own workload is important.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
• Preferred qualifications include experience developing with Unreal Engine and working with other UI middleware.
• UI development experience on console (PlayStation) and PC platforms is preferred.
• Live game experience and an educational background in software ergonomics are also preferred.
