Description:

The Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI) is seeking VOLUNTEER Blockchain Software Developers to support the application of blockchain technology in the fight against climate change.
The role involves conducting independent research, engaging with stakeholders, and establishing partnerships to advance BCI's mission.
Responsibilities include providing software development support, contributing to research divisions, developing Proof-of-Concept DLT applications, and promoting BCI at conferences.
Candidates are expected to have experience with Distributed Ledger Technologies like Hyperledger and Ethereum, as well as knowledge of mainstream public chains and consensus mechanisms.
The position requires continuous learning, strong communication skills, and proficiency in software development languages and tools.

Requirements:

A relevant degree or training in Computing, Engineering, Math, Physics, etc (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
Minimum one year of experience in developing blockchain systems.
Familiarity with mainstream public chains, Linux, Cloud infrastructure, GitHub, consensus mechanisms, encryption algorithms, and software development languages.
Experience with smart contracts, Docker, Kubernetes, and Microservice Architectures.
Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of climate change, climate finance, blockchain technology, and artificial intelligence is preferred.
Proficiency in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is desirable.
