Description:

Join Terrascope on a mission to save the planet by reversing the impact of climate change.
Work as a UX Front-end Engineer at the intersection of user experience design and front-end development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build intuitive, user-centered interfaces.
Ensure a seamless interaction experience across products.
Convert wireframes, mockups, and prototypes into interactive, high-fidelity user interfaces using React front-end technologies.
Develop, implement, and maintain the React front-end architecture, ensuring intuitiveness, usability, accessibility, and responsiveness across devices.
Apply UX principles such as usability, accessibility, and interaction design to enhance user experience.
Help in the creation and maintenance of Terrascope design systems for consistency and scalability.
Build interactive prototypes for user testing and internal feedback.
Participate in usability testing efforts, gather feedback, analyze results, and iterate on designs.
Act as the liaison between design and engineering teams for smooth integration of design into development.
Ensure user interfaces are performant, accessible, and scalable, following web standards and best practices.
Provide clear documentation for UI components, patterns, and code to support future development efforts.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role such as UX Engineer, Front-End Engineer, or Interaction Designer is necessary.
Proficiency in front-end development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js is essential.
A strong understanding of UX principles, usability testing, and design systems is required.
Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is necessary.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and implementation of accessible interfaces is required.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and translate design vision into functional products are essential.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is required.
Experience working in lean teams, developing and learning as you go is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders are required.
