Description:

  • As a Video Streaming Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting video streaming solutions.
  • You will maintain and troubleshoot efficient streaming workflows and ensure high-quality video delivery.
  • The position requires hands-on experience with video streaming protocols, FFmpeg, and media frameworks.
  • You will need an in-depth understanding of ensuring an optimal user experience across platforms.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in developing and optimizing video streaming solutions using HLS, FFmpeg, and related technologies.
  • You will troubleshoot and help resolve common streaming issues, such as buffering, latency, or sync problems, with guidance from senior engineers.
  • You will contribute to implementing video encoding and decoding workflows for various platforms.
  • Collaboration with software developers, QA engineers, and support teams to deliver reliable media services is essential.
  • You will work with streaming protocols like HLS, RTMP, and WebRTC to enhance video playback experiences.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of media APIs and integration projects is part of the role.
  • Staying informed about advancements in video streaming technology and suggesting potential improvements is expected.
  • You will help ensure scalable and reliable media delivery solutions, including working with cloud-based tools and CDNs.

Requirements:

  • A strong problem-solving mindset and a keen eye for detail are essential.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills are required.
  • You should have an eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and curious attitude about new technologies is necessary.
  • Familiarity with video streaming technologies like HLS and FFmpeg is required.
  • Intermediate programming skills in Python, Go, or JavaScript languages are necessary.
  • An understanding of video and audio codecs and a willingness to learn about media encoding and decoding is important.
  • Experience or coursework with media frameworks like GStreamer, OpenCV, or VLC is a plus.
  • A willingness to learn about streaming protocols and content delivery networks (CDNs) is expected.
