Description:

  • The Lead Software Engineer will lead and manage a team developing products that clients and their customers rely on.
  • The role involves ensuring high-quality deliverables on time, collaborating with product and design teams, and working with technical squads to create, develop, and test new features.
  • The engineer will act as a technical mentor, advising on the best approaches to meet key objectives while fostering a thriving team environment.
  • Responsibilities include leading the development and implementation of software solutions, coordinating and prioritizing team goals, and providing product support.
  • The engineer will mentor and motivate team members, address performance issues, and support team ceremonies while building strong relationships with peers.
  • Hands-on coding is required, focusing on developing and maintaining a high-quality code base and delivering stable, maintainable projects on schedule.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with full-stack development, specifically in React and Node.js, is required to effectively lead and mentor the team.
  • Proven experience in building scalable and high-performance applications using advanced algorithms and software design.
  • Candidates must own applications end to end, from specification to coding, deployment, and monitoring in production.
  • A track record of mentoring and improving engineering teams is essential.
  • Collaboration across teams to achieve shared goals and knowledge sharing is expected.
  • The candidate should lead by example and inspire engineers within the team and organization.
  • A product mindset is necessary, focusing on solving for end users while using technology as a means to an end.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to align stakeholders on goals and deliverables are required.
