Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced VMware, Windows, and Linux L3 Administrator to join our IT team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting VMware environments, Windows servers, and Linux systems.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization, server administration, and network protocols.
  • Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts.
  • The candidate should have experience with BareMetal technologies such as NUTANIX, HP Proliant, Dell Servers, IBM servers, and Cisco UCS.
  • Responsibilities also include performing regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware infrastructure.
  • The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to VMware performance, storage, and networking.
  • The candidate will implement and manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • For Windows Server Administration, the candidate will install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
  • The role includes managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Regular system updates, patches, and security configurations are part of the responsibilities.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows server performance and connectivity is required.
  • For Linux Administration, the candidate will install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
  • Responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings, as well as performing regular updates, patches, and system backups.
  • The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux server performance and connectivity.
  • General responsibilities include monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.
  • The candidate will implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaboration with other IT teams to design and implement new solutions is expected.
  • Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps is required.
  • The candidate will provide L3 support for escalated issues and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in VMware administration.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Windows server administration is required.
  • The candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience in Linux server administration.
  • A strong understanding of network protocols and configurations is necessary.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python is required.
  • Relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, or RHCE are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
  • Preferred skills include experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices is advantageous.
