Description:
We are seeking an experienced VMware, Windows, and Linux L3 Administrator to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting VMware environments, Windows servers, and Linux systems.
This role requires a deep understanding of virtualization, server administration, and network protocols.
Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi hosts.
The candidate should have experience with BareMetal technologies such as NUTANIX, HP Proliant, Dell Servers, IBM servers, and Cisco UCS.
Responsibilities also include performing regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware infrastructure.
The role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to VMware performance, storage, and networking.
The candidate will implement and manage virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
For Windows Server Administration, the candidate will install, configure, and maintain Windows servers (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
The role includes managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Regular system updates, patches, and security configurations are part of the responsibilities.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows server performance and connectivity is required.
For Linux Administration, the candidate will install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
Responsibilities include managing user accounts, permissions, and security settings, as well as performing regular updates, patches, and system backups.
The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux server performance and connectivity.
General responsibilities include monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability of infrastructure.
The candidate will implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Collaboration with other IT teams to design and implement new solutions is expected.
Documenting system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps is required.
The candidate will provide L3 support for escalated issues and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in VMware administration.
A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Windows server administration is required.
The candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience in Linux server administration.
A strong understanding of network protocols and configurations is necessary.
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python is required.
Relevant certifications such as VCP, MCSE, or RHCE are a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential.
Preferred skills include experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices is advantageous.
