Remote Web Application Security Engineer

Description:

• Xometry is looking for a Security Engineer, Vulnerability Remediation to ensure the security of their web applications and services primarily developed using Python and Javascript.
• Responsibilities include analyzing security vulnerability reports, building automation for upgrades and tracking vulnerabilities, investigating root causes of vulnerabilities, developing and implementing secure code solutions, and staying updated on web application security threats.
• The role involves working with technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure in cloud environments.
• The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and collaboration abilities, and the capacity to work independently across various product and technology teams.
• Previous experience in a marketplace or online product-led platform company is advantageous.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in Python and Javascript technologies like Node.js, TypeScript.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working across diverse product and technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
