Remote Web Application Security Engineer, Vulnerability Remediation

Description:

• Xometry is looking for a Security Engineer, Vulnerability Remediation to join their team in Greater Rio de Janeiro.
• The role involves safeguarding web applications and services primarily built with Python and Javascript.
• Responsibilities include analyzing security vulnerability reports, building automation for upgrades and tracking, remediating vulnerabilities, and staying updated on security threats.
• Qualifications include 3+ years of experience in Python and Javascript, familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud environments, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and across diverse teams.
• Preferred qualifications include experience in web application security, knowledge of secure coding practices, familiarity with SAST tools, and AWS security best practices.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in Python and Javascript technologies like Node.js, TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Comfortable working across various product and technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Previous experience at a marketplace or online product led platform company is a plus.
• Preferred: Experience in web application security, knowledge of common vulnerabilities, secure coding practices, SAST tools, and AWS security best practices.
