Remote Web Designer (Shopify and Wordpress)

Description:

• The position is for a full-time Web Designer (Shopify and Wordpress) based in Cape Town, South Africa.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining Shopify and WordPress websites from concept to final deliverable.
• Key responsibilities include installing, editing, and designing Shopify templates, coding and implementing WordPress sites, creating re-usable code libraries, designing interfaces and graphics, managing multiple projects, and working autonomously or within a team.
• The working hours are from 09:00am to 5:00pm AEST (GMT+10).
• The salary ranges from $1700 AUD to $2000 AUD per month.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Shopify and WordPress web design.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Proficiency in WordPress builders like Elementor, DIVI, WPBakery Page Builder.
• Knowledge of web development languages (HTML5, CSS3, PHP/MySQL, Js) and Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop.
• Experience in e-commerce functionalities integration, responsive design, social media, email marketing tools, SEO best practices, website analytics, UI/UX principles, web security, and CMS platforms.
• Familiarity with WHM, cPanel, PHP programming is a plus.
