Description:
Backlight is seeking a Website Designer/Developer to manage all digital properties across six products and the parent property at Backlight.co.
The role involves creating new web pages and improving existing websites.
The designer/developer will build landing pages for both B2C and B2B campaigns.
They will be a key stakeholder in providing a holistic web experience on desktop and mobile for new and returning users.
Responsibilities include ensuring analytics and tracking are properly installed to monitor the customer journey on the websites.
The role requires sourcing and evolving the use of creative imagery across digital properties.
The designer/developer will plan and strategize improvements and updates to the self-service funnel.
They must ensure messaging and imagery are relevant to the core brand and customer personas.
Collaboration with marketing, product, support, and development teams is essential for continuous improvement of Backlight’s digital properties.
The designer/developer will research and implement new web tools across all defined Backlight products.
They will drive website performance for visitor sign-ups and create new CRO experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to improve conversion rates.
Preparing and presenting recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data to the organization is part of the role.
The designer/developer will use data to enhance marketing automation workflows that support trial experiences, retention, and conversion increases.
They will partner with the Engineering team to establish best practices for lead generation and integration with Backlight’s Salesforce instance.
Evaluating the potential for localization efforts is also a responsibility.
Requirements:
Candidates must be self-starters with the ability to build rapport cross-functionally.
Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is essential.
A positive attitude and willingness to ask for help while keeping projects moving with a customer focus are necessary.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
Candidates should be group-focused and understand that success is a team effort.
Familiarity with Conversion Rate Optimization principles is a plus.
Familiarity with different CMS systems, such as Hubspot, WordPress, Webflow, and Zesty, is also a plus.
