Description:
Backlight is seeking a Website Designer/Developer to manage all digital properties across six products and the parent property at Backlight.co.
The position is remote, welcoming candidates based in the EST time zone within the U.S. and Canada.
The Website Designer/Developer will collaborate with a Web Strategist to create new web pages and improve existing websites.
Responsibilities include building landing pages for B2C and B2B campaigns and ensuring a holistic web experience for users on both desktop and mobile.
The role involves ensuring proper analytics and tracking are installed to monitor the customer journey on the websites.
The designer/developer will source and evolve the use of creative imagery across digital properties and plan improvements to the self-service funnel.
Messaging and imagery must be relevant to the core brand and customer personas.
Collaboration with marketing, product, support, and development teams is essential for continuous improvement of Backlight’s digital properties.
The position requires researching and implementing new web tools across all defined Backlight products.
The designer/developer will drive website performance for visitor sign-ups and create new CRO experiments to enhance conversion rates.
Preparing and presenting recommendations, reports, and findings from experimental data to the organization is a key responsibility.
The role includes using data to improve marketing automation workflows that support trial experiences, retention, and conversion increases.
Partnership with the Engineering team is necessary to establish best practices for lead generation and integration with Backlight’s Salesforce instance.
The designer/developer will also evaluate the potential for localization efforts.
Requirements:
Candidates must be self-starters with the ability to build rapport cross-functionally.
Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills are required.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is essential.
A positive attitude and willingness to ask for help while keeping projects moving with a customer focus are necessary traits.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
Candidates should be group-focused and understand that success is a team effort.
Familiarity with Conversion Rate Optimization principles is a plus.
Familiarity with different CMS systems, such as Hubspot, WordPress, Webflow, and Zesty, is also a plus.
