Remote Web Developer

Description:

• The Web Developer role will perform development on the Sitecore platform for Extreme Networks’ corporate website.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day development and maintenance of Sitecore applications, ensuring their functionality and efficiency.
• This role will be part of the Extreme Networks’ IT organization, working closely with the Marketing organization and other cross-functional teams to implement solutions and enhance user experiences, and support digital marketing strategies.
• Responsibilities include developing, testing, and deploying Sitecore-based web applications and modules.
• The developer will collaborate with designers, content creators, and marketers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• The role involves optimizing website performance, security, and accessibility to meet industry standards.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Sitecore and web development in a timely manner is essential.
• The developer will manage content workflows, versioning, and publishing processes within Sitecore.
• Staying updated with the latest Sitecore features, tools, and best practices, and incorporating them into development practices is required.
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders is part of the job.
• Participation in code reviews, quality assurance, and continuous integration processes is expected.
• Documenting development processes, configurations, and code changes for future reference is necessary.
• The developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of development methodologies and practices within the organization.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• The candidate must have 8+ years of experience in a development role with a proven track record of developing solutions using Sitecore or other content management systems.
• A strong development background in Sitecore 10+, C#, .Net, SXA, Scriban, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PowerShell scripting, Visual Studio, and related web technologies is necessary.
• Experience with Sitecore Managed Cloud, Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA), Content Hub, and Coveo is required.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Azure PaaS, Azure Functions, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Content Delivery Network (CDN) is preferred.
• Experience with language translation solutions such as Smartling is a plus.
• Familiarity with using Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow is necessary.
• The candidate should have experience interacting with web service APIs.
• Experience with agile development methodologies is required.
• A Sitecore developer certification is a plus.
