Remote Web Developer (Contract)

Description:

• Marco Polo is seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer to join their team on a contract basis.
• The role requires a commitment of 2 to 20 hours per week, offering flexibility in hours.

• Responsibilities include designing, building, and optimizing modern responsive web components, pages, and analytics for marketing and lead generation.
• The developer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align web technologies and experiences with business goals.
• The role involves assisting with the optimization of web programs for search and SEO channels.
• The developer will maintain and expand CMS and analytics platforms, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving web-related issues in a timely manner is essential.
• Support for A/B and multivariate testing requirements for web initiatives is required.
• The developer will partner with product and design teams to ensure strong design execution.
• Ensuring responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility for a consistent user experience across devices is crucial.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of user-centric web projects.
• Proven experience with Vue.js or React is preferred; familiarity with Typescript, Nuxt.js, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, or Webflow is a plus.
• Knowledge of headlessCMS systems such as DatoCMS and analytics platforms is required.
• Strong skills in frontend development and responsive web design are necessary.
• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders is essential.
• The candidate must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in fast-paced environments and the ability to adjust to changing priorities is important.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices to provide technical recommendations for web and blog development is required.
