Description:
TorkLaw, a leading personal injury law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web Developer to join their dynamic team.
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of web applications.
The role requires candidates to work in the EST time zone.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring functionality, performance, and scalability.
The Web Developer will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to create user-friendly, visually appealing websites and applications.
Responsibilities also include optimizing web applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness, writing clean and maintainable code, debugging and troubleshooting issues, and staying up to date with emerging web development technologies.
The developer will implement web performance optimization techniques, ensure cross-browser compatibility, manage version control systems, and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Proven experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects is necessary.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React is required.
Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Express, or Python is essential.
Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL) is needed.
Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git, is required.
A strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first design is necessary.
Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail are required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile development environments, are necessary.
