Description:

  • Zip is hiring its first Web Engineer for the Marketing team to lead Go-to-Market web initiatives that will enhance the company's web presence and drive business growth.
  • The website lead will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to improve search engine optimization, user experience, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and overall website performance.
  • This role involves defining and implementing data-driven strategies to boost demand generation across Zip’s web properties while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, track key metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
  • The position requires a self-starter who combines skills as a web engineer, growth hacker, and data-driven marketer focused on results.
  • Responsibilities include building the strategic vision for the Ziphq.com web experience, owning the development and implementation roadmap, conducting regular website audits, partnering with content marketing and SEO experts, maintaining site pixels and tracking infrastructure, and acting as a liaison for Corporate and Product Marketing teams.
  • The Web Engineer will also strategize and develop custom landing pages for paid marketing campaigns, design scalable frontend applications, project manage across teams, monitor performance, and ensure website quality through regular testing.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in modern web app development and/or UI/UX development.
  • Proficiency in Webflow, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
  • Experience with mobile optimization, adaptable design, and Google Web Vitals is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with A/B testing and executing CRO strategies using tools such as Optimizely, Google Optimize, and VWO.
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs, and Hotjar is essential.
  • Strong analytics skills with experience in setting up full-funnel conversion events tracking and dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Segment.io, Tableau) are required; R and SQL skills are a bonus.
  • Knowledge of web standard methodologies, SEO, accessibility (ARIA, WCAG), and ADA requirements is necessary.
  • Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization (l10n) is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across departments.
  • Experience with Segment is a plus.
