Description:
Zip is seeking a Web Engineer to join their Marketing team, focusing on enhancing their web presence and business growth.
The role involves leading Go-to-Market web initiatives and developing strategies for search engine optimization, user experience, and conversion rate optimization.
Responsibilities include defining and implementing data-driven strategies to improve demand generation across Zip’s web properties.
The Web Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, track key metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
Key tasks include building the strategic vision for the Ziphq.com web experience, owning the development roadmap, conducting website audits, and partnering with content marketing and SEO experts.
The position requires project management across various teams to ensure seamless operation and enhancement of the website.
Regular performance monitoring and reporting with actionable insights are also part of the role.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in modern web app development and/or UI/UX development.
Proficiency in Webflow, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is required.
Experience with mobile optimization, adaptable design, and Google Web Vitals is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with A/B testing and executing CRO strategies using tools like Optimizely and Google Optimize.
In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush is essential.
Strong analytics skills with experience in setting up full-funnel conversion events tracking and dashboards are required.
Knowledge of web standards, SEO, accessibility, and ADA requirements is necessary.
Experience with internationalization and localization is preferred.
Candidates must be able to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
Strong project management, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, along with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with Segment is a plus.
