Description:
Spotify is seeking a web engineer to join their Music Mission team, which focuses on building tools for artists, distributors, labels, and publishers in the music industry.
The role involves developing data-intensive applications and supporting artists by providing tools to build and distribute their video catalog and analyze its performance.
Responsibilities include building Web Application UI and views for Music Video and Canvas tools in the Spotify for Artists platform.
The engineer will collaborate with external teams to deliver consumer video experiences in the Spotify consumer application.
Close collaboration with product, insights, design, and other web engineers is essential to understand the needs of external customers and internal partners.
The position requires delivering scalable, testable, maintainable, and high-quality code.

Requirements:
Proven experience in Web Development is required.
Candidates must know how to build user-friendly, data-rich applications using JavaScript (React), HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
Experience with modern testing, debugging, and automation techniques is necessary.
A working understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms is expected.
Candidates should care about software architecture across the front-end, back-end, and the APIs that connect them.
A focus on user experience (UX) and building responsive, user-friendly web applications is essential.
Comfort in working within an agile environment and a willingness to challenge oneself and the team to improve processes is required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $122,716 - $175,308, plus equity.
