Description:

  • Canonical is seeking a Web Frontend Engineer proficient in JS, CSS, React, and Flutter for various teams working with web-centric technologies.

  • Responsibilities include writing high-quality software, collaborating with global teams, demonstrating technical leadership, debugging issues, and contributing to technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Must have an outstanding academic track record from high school and university.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM preferred, or a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
  • Demonstrated drive to exceed expectations, strong organizational skills, and ability to deliver on schedule.
  • Proficient in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JS), Typescript, React, or Flutter with a focus on accessibility and performance.
  • Fluency in professional written and spoken English and experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Passion for open-source software, self-motivation, and result-oriented with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel twice a year for company events up to two weeks each.
