Description:

  • The Growth Marketing team at Square is seeking a strategic and experienced Web Strategy Lead to join their team.
  • The Web Strategy Lead will be responsible for creating and optimizing digital experiences to enhance seller engagement and drive business growth.
  • This role involves designing and optimizing the Square public web experience across all stages of the seller journey and collaborating with various teams such as Product Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and Design.
  • The Web Strategy Lead will use data-driven processes, analytics, personalization strategies, and automation to increase demand and strengthen the brand's position.
  • Responsibilities include managing and driving success metrics for Square's website, collaborating with SEO for site performance, and working with Product Management to drive the Public Web team product roadmap.
  • The role also involves employing a seller-first perspective through research, user testing, and voice of the customer insights to enhance design solutions and optimize the website.
  • The Web Strategy Lead will leverage analytics to manage performance, identify traffic patterns, and improve conversion rates across the site.
  • Additionally, the role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure web initiatives align with business performance and brand promise.

Requirements:

  • 10-12+ years of experience in web strategy on a marketing team with expertise in web standards and optimization.
  • Significant experience in user testing, identifying target audiences, and leading the development of website experiences to motivate users through the funnel.
  • Experience working with a product team and product management, marketing automation tools, B2B marketing, and leading website optimization and experimentation.
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics tools such as Contentsquare, Amplitude, and Google Analytics, as well as front-end and back-end web development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in SEO fundamentals, website technology, architecture, and content interplay.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
