Remote WebSphere/Java Developer

Description:

• We are looking for an experienced Portal Java Developer to join our team.
• The role involves leading the development of complex web portal solutions using IBM WebSphere Portal and Java technologies.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
• The position requires designing and implementing HCL Portal Themes and Skins.
• You will optimize portal performance and ensure high availability and scalability.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while providing guidance to junior developers is a key responsibility.
• Conducting code reviews and promoting best practices in coding and architecture is expected.
• You will mentor and train team members on WebSphere Portal development and related technologies.
• Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement is essential.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 years of enterprise software development experience is required.
• An active Public Trust or the ability to obtain one is required for this position.
• Candidates must be US citizens due to the requirement to obtain a Public Trust and work with government entities.
• Experience with Portlets, Themes, and Skins is necessary.
• Proficiency in using web applications with JSF, My Faces, and Struts is required.
• A solid understanding of WebSphere Portal Server and WebSphere Content Management (WCM) is essential.

• The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $127,000 a year.
