Remote Web/WordPress Developer

Description:

• The IT product team is seeking an experienced and proactive Web/WordPress Developer to maintain and update their 3 product-related websites.
• Responsibilities include ensuring the websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and incorporate the latest features.
• Collaboration with marketing and product teams to expand online presence and support growth goals is a key aspect of the role.
• Tasks involve overseeing maintenance and updates of the websites, developing new web pages and WordPress features, integrating sales pages, blogs, thematic research, and other necessary content.
• Customizing WordPress themes and plugins according to branding and functional requirements of each website.
• Implementing responsive design for mobile device convenience, optimizing websites for maximum speed and scalability.
• Keeping up with industry trends and applying best practices in web design and development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience in web development.
• Portfolio showcasing previous works with adaptive design and WordPress projects.
• Proficiency in WordPress, including themes, plugins, and block editors (Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery).
• Solid knowledge of interface technologies such as CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, and familiarity with React/VueJS for utilizing Tailwind components.
• Basic understanding of PHP, template hierarchy, and its core principles.
• Fundamental grasp of SEO principles and ensuring compliance with applications.
• Basic knowledge of browser testing and debugging.
• Basic understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GTM Events).
• Strong understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
