Description:
Built Mighty / Little Rhino is a remote US-based Web Development company focused on building great software and solutions for customers.
The company is looking for a skilled and experienced WooCommerce / WordPress Developer and Troubleshooter to join their team.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications while collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers.
Responsibilities include adding features and building new WordPress and WooCommerce stores for small businesses, ensuring attention to detail and support for their growing platforms.
This W2 position offers flexible hours ranging from 30-40 hours a week depending on availability and skill level.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the development team, writing clean and efficient code, testing and debugging software, delivering accurate work estimates, and maintaining communication with clients and team members.
The developer will also assist with the maintenance and support of existing software products and ensure proper documentation through GitHub and Jira.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a developer.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and improving WordPress and/or WooCommerce Plugins and Themes is required.
Backend development experience is a must.
Experience with WooCommerce is essential.
Experience with Laravel is a plus.
Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, webpack, and Git is required.
Candidates should have experience working with Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is necessary.
Experience with software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting is required.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git, is essential.
Candidates must be US-based, with the exception of New York.
The ability to develop fully remote in the Cloud is required, along with experience using GitHub, GitHub Codespaces, and Docker.
Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
