Description:

  • Pavago is seeking an experienced and talented WordPress Designer and Developer to create custom digital solutions for clients.
  • The role involves designing and developing visually appealing, user-centric WordPress websites that align with client business goals.
  • Responsibilities include managing WordPress website projects from concept to completion, creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and fully functional websites.
  • The candidate will ensure responsive, accessible designs and write clean, efficient code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within the WordPress environment.
  • Customization of WordPress themes to meet specific client requirements is essential, ensuring consistent branding and a user-friendly experience.
  • The role includes building and maintaining interactive, responsive features using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks like jQuery or React.
  • Back-end development is preferred, involving PHP to integrate custom functionality into WordPress and ensuring seamless integration of front-end designs with databases and APIs.
  • Responsibilities also include managing WordPress updates, security patches, and plugins, optimizing existing websites for speed, accessibility, and SEO, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • The candidate will manage website content using the WordPress CMS and stay updated on the latest WordPress design trends, plugins, and development techniques.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress Designer and Developer with a portfolio showcasing responsive WordPress design and development work is required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and development tools like Visual Studio Code is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and best practices for web standards, SEO, and accessibility within the WordPress framework is essential.
  • Deep experience with WordPress, including custom theme development, plugin integration, and back-end customization using PHP is required.
  • Experience with PHP, Node.js, or other back-end technologies is preferred, particularly for integrating databases and APIs within WordPress.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality, responsive WordPress websites that meet exacting standards is crucial.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for staying updated with the latest trends in WordPress development, plugins, and themes are important.
