Description:

  • The WordPress Developer will manage, update, and maintain the company’s WordPress website.
  • This role involves developing and customizing WordPress themes and templates to meet content and branding needs.
  • The developer will install, configure, and manage plugins to extend website functionality.
  • Ensuring site performance, speed optimization, and responsiveness across all devices is a key responsibility.
  • The position requires collaboration with content creators, designers, and marketers to implement new features and publish content.
  • The developer will monitor website health, security, and uptime, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as needed.
  • Implementing and maintaining SEO best practices is essential for this role.
  • Regular backups and updates of core, themes, and plugins will be performed by the developer.
  • The role includes generating and analyzing website reports using tools like Google Analytics or other monitoring software.

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have proven experience with WordPress development and administration.
  • A strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP is required, along with familiarity with page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery) and block editors (Gutenberg).
  • Experience with SEO, web performance optimization, and accessibility is necessary.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) is considered a plus.
  • The candidate should have knowledge of security best practices for WordPress.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities is essential.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Experience working with content-heavy or high-traffic WordPress sites is preferred.
  • An understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design is necessary, along with familiarity with hosting environments (e.g., cPanel, Kinsta, WP Engine).
