The role is for a skilled WordPress Engineer who is passionate about WordPress development and web technologies.
Responsibilities include developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, customizing existing themes and plugins, and collaborating with team members to create functional websites.
The engineer will conduct code reviews, perform upgrades, optimize sites for speed and performance, and implement SEO best practices.
The position requires troubleshooting and debugging issues, staying updated with industry trends, and participating in project planning discussions.
This is a contractor position.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or Engineer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects is necessary.
Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, along with a solid understanding of web development principles is essential.
Extensive experience in WordPress theme and plugin development, including custom creation from scratch is required.
A strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and SEO best practices is necessary.
Experience in optimizing WordPress sites for high speed and achieving high scores on performance testing tools is required.
Familiarity with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, or AngularJS is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for troubleshooting and debugging.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about learning and staying current with industry trends.
