Description:
KIJO is seeking a talented and ambitious WordPress developer to shape the future of digital experiences.
The role involves collaborating closely with a dynamic web design team to create exceptional websites for a diverse and expanding client base.
The developer will push the boundaries of WordPress, using bespoke development skills to bring concepts to life.
Responsibilities include transforming design visions into fully functional WordPress websites, creating custom-built, high-performance websites, and ensuring quality through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
The developer will also develop custom plugins for unique website functionality, manage and maintain WordPress environments, resolve client queries, and keep websites updated.
Additional tasks include contributing to an internal component library, mentoring junior team members, and refining processes for improved efficiency.
Requirements:
Expertise in WordPress is essential for this position.
Advanced front-end development skills are required, with examples of previous websites built being highly beneficial.
Experience in creating bespoke WordPress themes is necessary.
Proficiency in CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and PHP is required.
Desirable knowledge includes familiarity with the Elementor page builder plugin, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin, Google Lighthouse for performance optimization, plugin development, and WordPress REST API.
Knowledge of DNS management and familiarity with servers and SFTP is also desirable.
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently.
