Description:

  • Lead the architecture for AI voice agent platforms and next-best-action AI assistant guidance.
  • Design real-time systems for in-call intent detection and next-best-action suggestions.
  • Create orchestration layers for AI agent workflows and ensure safe handoff to human agents.
  • Drive AI agent evaluation metrics and set service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Conduct technical design reviews and ensure architectural consistency across backend services.
  • Develop backend services using Python (FastAPI, Django) and manage data across MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with product teams to translate initiatives into technical plans.
  • Apply security and compliance practices relevant to healthcare data.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend engineering experience with ownership of complex systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI or Django.
  • Knowledge of distributed architectures and event-driven systems (Kafka).
  • Experience with MongoDB and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Background in building conversational AI systems and real-time decision-making.
  • Familiarity with LLM/agent frameworks and reliability practices.
  • Proven track record in driving architectural decisions and mentoring engineers.
  • Comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and observability tools.
  • Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows.
