The Application Engineer is responsible for the configuration, customization, and technical support of IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management System) solutions for AbsoluteFS customers.
This role focuses on hands-on technical development, data work, integrations, and issue resolution throughout the implementation and post-deployment lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in SQL, JavaScript, XML, and Java, along with experience working in or supporting IWMS platforms such as Archibus, Eptura, TRIRIGA, or similar systems.
This position works closely with internal consultants, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that meet business and operational needs.
Key responsibilities include configuring, customizing, and deploying IWMS applications, translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, implementing authentication settings, developing application customizations, supporting integrations, performing data manipulation, executing data migrations, participating in QA/UAT cycles, and troubleshooting issues.
The role also involves investigating and resolving Tier 1–2 technical support requests, analyzing system errors, collaborating on complex problems, recommending system enhancements, building or modifying reports, assisting customers with dashboards, maintaining data integrity, contributing to documentation, providing training sessions, participating in project planning, and supporting best practices in development.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a technical application engineering, system configuration, or software support role is required.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server for queries, views, and stored procedures is necessary.
Proficiency in JavaScript for UI or workflow customization is required.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of Java is needed.
Experience with XML for configuration and reporting is essential.
Candidates must have experience performing data migration, transformation, or ETL tasks.
Familiarity with REST or SOAP APIs is required.
The ability to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions is necessary.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.
