The company is seeking a skilled Atlassian Data Center Administrator to manage Jira and Confluence Data Center environments within the IT sector.
Responsibilities include infrastructure setup, installation, maintenance, continuous monitoring of application and server performance using Datadog, and integration of Jira and Confluence with other business-critical applications.
The successful candidate will ensure that Atlassian applications are reliable, secure, scalable, and connected to the broader IT ecosystem.
Work hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time.
Key tasks include designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure for Atlassian Jira and Confluence, monitoring application health, conducting performance investigations, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, planning integrations, enforcing security best practices, documenting procedures, analyzing performance metrics, and staying updated on industry trends.
Requirements:
Proven experience managing Atlassian Jira and Confluence Data Center environments in IT organizations is required.
Strong expertise in infrastructure setup, clustering, load balancing, and high availability configurations is necessary.
Experience with integrating Jira and Confluence via APIs, webhooks, and plugins with other enterprise applications is essential.
Proficiency in Linux/Windows server environments and virtualization platforms is required.
Experience managing databases supporting Atlassian applications, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle, is necessary.
Hands-on experience with Datadog for monitoring application and server performance is required.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and backup strategies in an IT context is essential.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are necessary.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional IT teams are required.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments is preferred.
