Remote AWS Software Engineer

Description:

• We are looking for software engineers who are strong in working with AWS, Jenkins, CDK, or Ansible.
• Candidates must have experience in the Linux DevOps part, as it is crucial for understanding and maintaining the current system before and during the migration.
• The Application Platform provides a range of cloud products for product teams in the company, aiming to enable users to derive maximum value from our products in a self-service manner, operating on a ‘You Build it, You Run it’ model.
• We provide an integrated AWS platform that hosts over one thousand services on EKS and Serverless environments, serving 1 billion viewer requests daily.
• Our team manages CI/CD infrastructure hosted on Jenkins & JFrog, which supports over 90 pipelines.
• Product teams monitor and observe their applications using Datadog.
• The project involves helping a company migrate their existing services to the Application Platform to improve developer experience, reliability, scalability, and security.
• The goal is to have the services running in a new production environment and to devise and implement an optimum migration plan with minimal disruption for the product and business.
• Candidates should have the ability to create and consume REST APIs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js is required.
• Familiarity with React is also necessary.
• In-depth experience with Docker and networking is essential.
• Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of Amazon Web Services and be able to interact with their services and API, including but not limited to CDK, Lambda, RDS, ALB, OpenSearch, and ECS.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of working experience with AWS, Jenkins, CDK, or Ansible.
• Experience in the Linux DevOps part is required, as it is important for understanding and maintaining the current system before and during the migration.
• Knowledge in Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS networking is a nice to have.
• Familiarity with Go is also considered a nice to have.
