Description:
- Join GitLab as an Intermediate Backend Engineer on the Orbit team to build and operate a graph data service for GitLab Duo agents and analytics.
- Work with a Rust-first team focused on system design, data reliability, and operational readiness.
Requirements:
- Professional experience in backend systems with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language, with a strong interest in Rust.
- Exposure to distributed data or analytics systems and interest in graph data modeling.
- Experience with AI tools in development and a language-agnostic mindset.
- Solid system design fundamentals and comfort in a low-process, high-ownership environment.
