The role of Backend Software Engineer (Senior/Staff) is critical as the company has raised over $100 million from top investors and is expanding quickly.
This position involves full ownership and execution of backend systems and infrastructure.
Responsibilities include building APIs, services, and real-time systems, collaborating with various teams, designing and implementing production-ready features, managing data migrations, and driving product velocity and stability.
The role is remote, requiring a 4-hour overlap with the US ET timezone.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a hardcore work ethic and high agency.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in backend engineering is required.
A proven track record in high-growth, high-ownership environments is essential.
Strong skills in PostgreSQL, SQL, ORMs, migrations, and schema design are necessary.
Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure is required.
Candidates should have strong API design and testing experience.
Understanding of CI/CD, deployment, and production readiness is important.
Bonus points for expertise in Python and modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
The ability to manage complex systems with evolving requirements is crucial.
Fluent English (C1+) with clear communication skills is required.

The position offers a base salary ranging from $100,000 to $175,000 USD.
Employees will receive equity ownership valued at $75,000+ USD.
