Remote Cloud Network Engineer

Description:

• Design, build, and manage cloud networks (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, peering) across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
• Set up and maintain secure connections between cloud environments, data centers, and offices using VPN, Cloud Interconnect, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect.
• Manage cloud load balancers, DNS, NAT, and network gateways for production services.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, security groups, and network policies.
• Support networking for Kubernetes platform and build/manage network infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document network designs and plan for capacity, high availability, and disaster recovery.

Requirements:

• 6–8 years in network engineering, with 2–3 years in cloud networking.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS); multiple clouds are a plus.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, and load balancing.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity and firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark and traceroute.
