Description:

  • Create, pitch, and prototype gameplay ideas for core combat mechanics, characters, and encounters.
  • Implement combat characters with animations and behaviors using state machines and various scripting systems.
  • Develop design documents and share necessary information with teams.
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines throughout the development process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new game design techniques.
  • Operate with autonomy and contribute to the combat design team's goals.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in AAA game production for consoles and PC.
  • Minimum 2 years in third-person melee combat game design roles.
  • Proficiency with at least one game editor; experience with multiple engines is a plus.
  • Strong ability to conceptualize and implement game systems using various tools.
  • Clear understanding of creative and game development processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proven success in creating engaging gameplay and encounters.
  • Self-motivated with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Passion for combat-oriented games.
  • Experience with scripting for avatar behaviors and combat actions.
