Remote Data Analyst

Description:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to manage and analyze a large inventory database of approximately 200,000 SKU numbers.
• The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Excel, particularly advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query, to ensure accurate reporting, data validation, and actionable insights.
• This role requires meticulous attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to transform raw data into meaningful business intelligence.
• Key responsibilities include maintaining, cleaning, and validating SKU-level data across multiple sources.
• The Data Analyst will use Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query) to organize, reconcile, and analyze large datasets.
• The role involves generating accurate inventory, sales, and performance reports for management.
• The candidate will identify data discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, procurement) to provide data-driven insights is essential.
• The Data Analyst will develop dashboards and reporting templates to streamline decision-making.
• Ensuring data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality in all reporting activities is a critical responsibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in retail, e-commerce, or inventory-heavy industries is necessary.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, conditional formatting, and data validation, is essential.
• Strong knowledge of data cleaning, reconciliation, and reporting techniques is required.
• Familiarity with SQL or other database tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools is a plus.
