Description:

Design and implement data workflows, pipelines, and pathways for ETL/ELT in AWS and on-prem environments.
Ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of data systems, including backup and recovery strategies.
Architect and operate data streaming technologies (Kafka, Redpanda, Kinesis) on Kubernetes.
Collaborate with platform teams for configuration management, security, and performance optimization.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and monitoring using tools like Terraform.
Ensure compliance with industry and DoD regulations.
Stay updated on trends in Kubernetes, containerization, and data engineering.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience in building and maintaining production data pipelines and databases on Kubernetes.
Experience with Kafka/Redpanda data streaming solutions and creating data pipelines from scratch.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes).
Knowledge of systems engineering principles and cybersecurity best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
Experience with machine learning and generative AI models is a plus.
