Description:

SOSi is seeking a Data Governance & Metadata Scientist to develop and sustain a scalable data ecosystem for a DoD customer.
The role focuses on enhancing interoperability, governance, and mission-driven analytics through real-time information sharing and dynamic data integration.

Requirements:

Knowledge in developing and maintaining data governance frameworks, ensuring metadata consistency and lineage tracking.
Proficiency in metadata management, data lineage tracking (Unity Catalog/OpenLineage), and governance best practices.
Expertise in geospatial data standards and compliance with DoD metadata policies.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Management, GIS, or related field, or five years of equivalent experience.
Experience in implementing metadata governance frameworks in cloud environments and utilizing tools like OpenLineage or Apache Atlas.
