Remote Data Scientist, Sales

Description:

• Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support the Commercial team through data modeling, machine learning, and analysis.
• The role involves building data models, improving reporting, conducting exploratory data analysis, and developing ML models that impact business metrics.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data science/decision science, with experience as the primary data scientist for a domain.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with data pipeline tools like dbt and Airflow is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present analyses to senior leadership.
• Understanding of business practices, sales, and client behavior, along with experience in applied statistics or experimentation.
• Familiarity with machine-learning algorithms and experience in production settings.
• Experience in managing or mentoring team members.
