Arista Networks is seeking Site Reliability Engineers to join their FedRAMP CloudVision-as-a-Service (CVaaS) SRE team.
SREs at Arista combine strong software engineering skills with systems architecture knowledge and a passion for operating production systems at scale.
The role involves ensuring the scalability, reliability, and stability of the global CloudVision service fleet.
Engineers will work on projects related to Data Platform Architecture and Performance, Capacity Planning, Autoscaling, Disaster Recovery, Observability, Change Management (CI/CD), Service Network Architecture, Cost Optimizations, and Infrastructure and Cloud-First Application Security.
The position includes participation in a FedRAMP on-call rotation split between West and East coast timezones.
Familiarity with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) is preferred, as the CloudVision stack is built entirely Kubernetes-native.
The technical stack includes Golang, Python, Ansible/Pulumi, and Bash, with expectations to develop and operate various types of databases.
Requirements:
A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Experience managing FedRAMP SaaS environments or other highly regulated systems is necessary.
Proven experience in developing or managing deployments of distributed database systems or large-scale SaaS applications is essential.
Proficiency in Python, Go (Golang), or other programming languages is required.
Strong scripting skills in Bash or other scripting languages are necessary.
Benefits:
The base pay for this role ranges from $101,000 to $161,000, depending on various factors including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location.
